Hi, I’m LIZ

I’m a Voice & Dialect Coach with a wealth of experience working on some of the most highly acclaimed productions across the West End and beyond. I’ve been a keynote speaker for the British Voice Association and trained Hollywood actors.

Currently, I can be seen onscreen coaching Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan on Rob and Romesh Vs Shakespeare (Sky TV). Behind the scenes, I’m coaching on the world premiere of Paddington The Musical at the Savoy Theatre, the US tour of Hamnet with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the upcoming UK tour of Romeo & Juliet with Duke’s Theatre Company.

I’m also delighted to be serving as an adjudicator at this year’s MTI Junior Theatre Festival Europe.

My story

Liz graduated with Distinction from the MA Voice Studies course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

TEACHING

She subsequently lectured at numerous prestigious drama schools and universities, including Central School of Speech and Drama, East 15, ALRA, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and The Actors Studio in Auckland, New Zealand. She was also Head of Voice on Unitec's Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts (Acting) degree programme in Auckland. Liz is currently teaching at Rose Bruford College.

BEEN THERE

Liz's professional career began as a musical theatre and cabaret performer, hitting the headlines in her one-woman show Liza! With Love at the Edinburgh Festival. This experience of performing brings a deep level of understanding of the actor's process.

“I think good voice can often feel like something that is difficult, serious and sometimes untenable. Liz lets everyone in with both her exercises and the way she communicates them.”
